Chameleons always blend in
Five facts about reading:

rumputsantoso:

Fact 1: Reading can make you a better conversationalist.

Fact 2: Neighbours will never complain that your book is too loud.

Fact 3: Knowledge by osmosis has not yet been perfected. You’d better read.

Fact 4: Books have stopped bullets - reading might save your life.

Fact 5: Dinosaurs didn’t read. Look what happened to them.

If anything, the 5th point should convince you.

theloudmouthmudblood:

“Stories that you read when you’re the right age never quite leave you. You may forget who wrote them or what the story was called. Sometimes you’ll forget precisely what happened, but if a story touches you it will stay with you, haunting the places in your mind that you rarely visit.” ~M is for Magic, Neil Gaiman

Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.

Oh hello TFIOS. Come and meet your new friends. There’s a whole lot of them! Even if some of them are French, there are English-speaking comrades too.

Books

Oh, books… You underestimate awesome little things… I wish I could show people what is it about you that is so important and unique. I wish people wouldn’t find you lame, or time-wasting, or worthless. I wish they knew. I’m heartbroken for everything they miss. And I don’t care if that makes me a weirdo.
